The Cherry Tomato, a family-owned restaurant in Park Hill, celebrated its 10th Anniversary during a week-long celebration that began March 12, giving a percentage of the sales to two neighborhood nonprofits, the Park Hill Branch of the Denver Public Library and The Gathering Place.
“We were thrilled to see all the regular and new customers who waited for a table to show their support of the community,” said Wendy Felese, owner of The Cherry Tomato, along with husband, Chef Tom Felese. “It was a celebration the guests really took pleasure in being a part of – helping others and enjoying a good meal.”
The Feleses consider the community an extension of their own family, and could think of no better way to celebrate their success than to share it with two organizations that embrace the same idea. They will be presenting a $1,000 check to The Gathering Place and a $500 check to the Park Hill Branch Library. And in honor of the neighborhood treasure that does so much to give back, March 12, 2007 was officially proclaimed “Cherry Tomato Day” by Mayor John Hickenlooper.
The Cherry Tomato is open Tuesday-Saturday 5-10pm and Sunday 5-9pm and is located at 4645 East 23rd Avenue, in the Park Hill neighborhood. For details, call 303.377.1914.
